In English we always say, “TGIF!” at the end of the week because the week is finally over and it’s time for some much needed R&R and weekend fun ASAP!
TGIF - Thank God it’s Friday!
R&R - rest and relaxation
ASAP - as soon as possible
In Japanese we say,
遊ぼうね！
But in English, adults don’t say, “Let’s play!”
We say,
“Let’s hang out!”
“Let’s go out!”
“Let’s meet up!”
Only kids say, “Let’s play!”
